veja – Fairtrade Sneaker
Die französische Firma veja bietet eine Kollektion von Fairtrade Sneakern an. Die Schuhe werden aus Bio-Baumwolle hergestellt, die von Kleinbauern in Nordost Brasilien angebaut wird. Die Sohle aus Naturkautschuk wird von einer einer kleinen Kooperative im Amazonasgebiet gefertigt. Darüberhinaus garantiert veja den Arbeitern in den Fertigungsbetrieben ebenfalls gute Arbeitsbedingungen und faire Löhne. Angeblich sollen die Schuhe bereits auch in Deutschland (Berlin und Köln) erhältlich sein. Auf der veja Website sind jedoch keine Händler in Deutschland beschrieben.

If you give in veja at google, you find a lot of pages in spanish. its a pity that there is no option yet to buy them in internet…

talking about veja-shoes and germany … veja-shoes are also available at the ethical fashion webshop “glore.de” or at their store in Nürnberg in the Karl-Grillenberger-Street 18. It is a fantastic store which just opened last weekend. Besides veja they also have worn again, kuyichi, howies and a lot more labels which are either traded fair or biologically.
